Most gas safety checks take approximately 45–90 minutes, depending on the size and layout of the property.

Is $199 the total cost?

Yes — the standard gas safety inspection is a flat $199 Including GST.
If we identify any issues that require repair, we’ll clearly explain your options before any additional work is carried out.

Are you licensed & insured?

Yes, our license number is 110518, which can be verified with the Building & Plumbing Commission (formerly VBA).

We are also fully insured, holding the legally required coverage and public liability insurance up to $20 million.

Do I need to be home during the inspection?

Yes, we require someone over 18 to be present so we can access appliances and explain our findings once the inspection is complete.

How soon can I book?

What happens if you find a serious safety risk?

Most of the time, inspections uncover minor issues rather than serious safety risks or defects.

If we do identify a serious safety risk during your gas safety check, we are legally required to take all immediate steps necessary to make the installation safe. We will also notify you, the property owner, and any occupants about the risk and explain the situation in plain language.

If the risk cannot be fully addressed on the spot, we are required to report it to Energy Safe Victoria and the relevant gas supplier. You will always be fully informed and given clear guidance on the safest next steps for your home — no pressure, just professional advice to keep you and your family safe.
